Time Your Sets and Rests and Elevate Your Results To New Heights

I've been looking for a boxing timer for the studio for some time now. I've always liked the ability to keep track of work sets and rests precisely but find using a stop watch takes too much focus away from client form and motivation.

The problem with a boxing ring timer is that it typically only allows for 1 predetermined work chime and one for the rest and if you can find one they are usually over $100 and hardly portable.

I'll be bringing in this innovative device to training studio to push our clients to new level as of intensity right before the Christmas Break so that they will be rebuilding muscle while sitting and eating rather than putting on fat.

By following a predetermined set time and rest time you turn your focus away from the traditional reps and weight but consider other metrics such as, of time under tension, lactic threshold and total volume.

Keep following the Blog to see some videos of the new timer in action and learn various ways to use this cool little device to take it up a notch.

Christmas Protein Balls

Most of you are making these balls and simply can't get enough of them,
however, they should be eaten in moderation.

Now... here is the recipe:

1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Large Oats
1/4 cup Honey
2 - 3 scoops Protein Powder (to lower your carb intake use Protein Powder that has less then 3 grams of Carbs)

Mix all ingredients, scoop a Tbsp of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
Then place each ball in the freezer but before doing that, to make them Christmas Protein balls you can sprinkle them with green or red sugar sprinkles or add powdered sugar to make them snow balls. Beware, that will increase the carbs for each ball.
Now with that said, limit yourself to 2 or 3 a day and enjoy.
